Derby and Nottingham social media agency in awards final

We’ve been shortlisted for two awards!

In the first ever Mainframe Derby awards, focused on the digital community in Derbyshire, we are in line to win in two categories. It comes in a year we’ve just celebrated breaking the £1m barrier when it comes to social media sales for us and our clients.

We entered four of the Mainframe Derby awards and reached the final in half of them:

Best Digital Innovation: We’ve launched the UK’s first interactive social media sessions in schools, teaching young people how to use social media positively. Positive Social combats bullying, secures futures and tackles issues of self-worth brought on by social media.

Emerging Digital Star (Under 25): Status Social’s Craig Picton is a star now and will be in the future. In his short time at Status Social, he has taken our social media advertising to a new level, bringing in new income streams for the business. He has also generated sales and leads for our clients. We were reluctant to employ a 21-year-old in such a responsible position yet Craig has proven his worth again and again.

Status Social is the only social media agency to be finalists in the ERDF-funded Mainframe Derby awards. The awards ceremony takes place on April 24 at Quad in Derby.

Status Social is no stranger to awards. We were named Derbyshire’s Creative Business of the year in the 2016 Derby Telegraph Business Awards and were finalists for the same award in 2015. We were also named one of the county’s most promising businesses by the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chambers of Commerce in 2014 – an award we hope we’ve lived up to!
