Instagram launches 15-second video rival

The Facebook-owned Instagram has launched its own version of the successful Vine video app. Instead of being six seconds, though, users can shoot 15-second videos.

Like the Twitter-owned Vine, users can shoot from multiple angles, touching the screen when they want to record. The usual Instagram filters are available so video makers can touch up their creations to make them look more pretty. You can see our first play with it (a tour of the Status Social office) here.
