Come and Visit The New Status Social Headquarters!

Status Social have moved – and we’d love you to come and visit us!

Our new Derby headquarters is two-and-a-half times larger than our previous premises in Friar Gate Studios.

But it was nearly a move that didn’t happen – we only received confirmation everything was going ahead on the day we were due to leave our old offices!

The move to Friary Works, which sits just behind Friar Gate in Derby, gives us much more space to host events and be more creative.

We decided it was time to hand in our notice to Connect Derby in December 2018. We had nowhere to go but we knew the journey would be exciting – and it was!

First day in the Status Social Derby office

 

After struggling to find anywhere that fitted the Status Social-style, we stumbled across the recently renovated top two floors of Friary Works.

At the time, both floors were massive rectangles – with lots of potential.

But moves are not straightforward, and ours was only confirmed at 11.30am on our final day at Friar Gate Studios – meaning we had to pack and move ourselves in just six hours!

That meant wheeling TVs and plants along the 270 metres between the two buildings!

And as our new offices are on the second floor, it led to us carrying lots of furniture up the stairs, including a sofa. It was a scene that Friends fans would find familiar…

We’re now in the process of fitting out our floor – the space has already been divided into fabulous training rooms, a welcoming reception and a HUGE area for the team to work in.

The doors have been painted Status Social blue and we’re in the process of having our values put onto the wall to demonstrate how we deal with clients and work as a team.

Our move comes after a fantastic year for Status Social where we’ve achieved record profits and turnover and taken on three new team members, with plans for more during 2019.

Turnover was up 52% in 2018-19 while profits increased by 59%. We believe that many company directors and marketing managers have realised that if they want good results from social media, they need to invest properly and with reputable specialists, rather than generalists.

“We and our clients have generated nearly £1.5 million in recordable sales through social media and that has really helped prospective clients trust that we will do a good job for them,” said director Kerry Saxby.

“We’ve also seen a big increase in the number of businesses using our social media recruitment service to find great candidates at an affordable rate.”
